Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy ("Policy") forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions governing the use of the Otion (Company) ride-hailing platform ("Customer app"). By booking a ride, the user ("Customer") agrees to be bound by this Policy.
The government has also set new rules for cancellations under Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines 2025. If a driver cancels a ride after accepting it without a valid reason, a penalty of 10% of the fare up to a maximum of Rs 100 will be charged. The same rule applies to passengers who cancel a ride without a valid reason.
1. Definitions
- "Booking" means a confirmed ride request placed by the Customer through the Customer app.
- "Pickup Time" means the estimated arrival time of the Driver at the pickup location.
- "Cancellation charge" means the amount payable upon cancellation as defined herein.
2. Cancellation by Customer
The cancellation charge will be payable in the next ride.
2.1 Free Cancellation
A Customer may cancel a Booking without any charges if the cancellation is made:
- Before the booking confirmation and,
- Within 3 minutes of booking confirmation
2.2 Chargeable Cancellation
A cancellation charge of ₹ 10 shall apply if the customer:
- Cancels the Booking after 3 minutes of booking confirmation but before the Driver arrives at the pickup location.
- Cancels after the Driver has arrived at the pickup location
- Is not reachable or fails to arrive within the waiting time of 5 minutes
3. Cancellation by Driver
3.1
Drivers may cancel a Booking only for genuine reasons, including but not limited to:
- Incorrect pickup location
- Rider not responding
- Rider not at pickup point
- Vehicle issue
- Low battery / charging required
- Overcapacity / extra passengers
- Restricted / no-entry area
3.2
Whenever a driver selects a predefined cancellation reason, a notification with a popup should be sent to the rider for approval.
- If the rider does not respond within 7 minutes, the request will be automatically approved and the ride will be cancelled without any cancellation charge.
- If the reason provided by the customer does not match with the predefined reason provided by driver, a cancellation charge of ₹ 10 shall apply on driver.
3.3
No Cancellation Fee shall be charged to the Customer for Driver-initiated cancellations.
4. Cancellation by the Company
The Company reserves the right to cancel any Booking at its sole discretion due to:
- Non-availability of Drivers
- Technical or system issues
- Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity
- Violation of Terms & Conditions
5. Refunds
Refunds, where applicable, shall be issued in the form of a coupon. Such coupon can be redeemed by the Customer on a one-time basis within the validity period specified by the Company.
6. Abuse & Misuse
The Company reserves the right to:
- Levy additional charges
- Temporarily suspend or permanently block Otion's account
in cases of repeated cancellations, misuse of the Platform, or suspicious activity.
7. Amendments
The Company may amend this Policy at any time. The revised Policy shall be effective immediately upon publication on the company website.
8. Governing Law
This policy shall be governed by the laws of India alongside other applicable local, state, national, or international laws.
The courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or in connection with this policy and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.

Payment Terms Policy

This Payment Terms Policy ("Policy") governs the payment-related obligations of customers ("User/Customer/Rider") while availing ride services through the Platform. By booking a ride, the Customer agrees to comply with the terms set out below by the Rideverse Technologies Private Limited ("Company").
1. Ride Fare & Mode of Payment
1.1. The applicable estimated ride fare shall be displayed to the Customer at the time of booking or shall be calculated based on distance, duration, and other applicable parameters.
1.2. All ride fares shall be paid directly by the Customer to the Driver upon completion of the ride, using cash, UPI, or any other payment mode mutually agreed between the Customer and the Driver.
1.3. The Platform does not collect ride fares on behalf of Drivers and shall not be responsible for any disputes arising out of direct payments made to the Driver.
2. Cancellation Charges
2.1. A cancellation charge may be levied on the Customer in the event a ride is cancelled after booking, subject to the cancellation time and circumstances.
2.2. Cancellation charges may apply to the customer and driver as per cancellation policy.
2.3. The applicable cancellation charge, if any, shall be communicated to the Customer through the Platform.
3. Adjustment of Cancellation Charges
3.1. Cancellation charges shall not be collected in cash from the Customer.
3.2. Any applicable cancellation charge shall be adjusted against the fare of the Customer's next completed ride booked through the Platform.
3.3. The Customer authorizes the Platform to apply such adjustment automatically without requiring additional consent.
4. Waiting Charges
4.1. A free waiting period of 5 minutes is permitted at the pickup location.
4.2. Waiting charges of ₹1 per minute will be applicable if the Customer exceeds the free waiting period after the Driver has arrived at the pickup location.
4.3. Waiting charges, if applicable, shall form part of the final ride fare and shall be payable directly to the Driver.
5. Refunds & Coupon-Based Adjustments
5.1. Since ride fares are paid directly to the Driver, no cash or bank refunds shall be processed by the Platform.
5.2. In cases where a refund is deemed applicable by the Platform, the refund shall be issued in the form of a coupon.
5.3. The coupon code:
- Shall be redeemable only on the Platform
- May be used once within the validity period specified
- Shall be non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash
5.4. The Platform reserves the right to determine the value, validity, and conditions of such coupon codes.
6. Platform Rights
6.1. The Platform reserves the right to modify cancellation charges, waiting charges, and refund mechanisms at its sole discretion.
6.2. Any changes to this Policy shall be effective upon being updated on the Platform.
7. Dispute Resolution
7.1. In case of any payment-related dispute, the Customer is required to raise a complaint through the Platform's support system within the prescribed time.
7.2. The Company's decision regarding refunds, adjustments, or coupon issuance shall be final and binding.

This "Privacy Policy" describes how Otion (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us" "our") collect, use, handle information obtained via our Website, App, and other offline sources relating to visitors, clients, or users (hereinafter referred to as "you", "your").

- Your Content: Information you provide through our Services, including your reviews, ratings, feedback, photographs, comments, ride preferences, pickup and drop-off details, trip history, payment details (excluding sensitive financial data handled by third-party payment processors), favorite locations, contact information of people you add for ride bookings or share ride details with, names and other details saved in your account profile, and any other information you choose to share while using our Services.
- Other information:
- How you behave in the relevant product environment and use the features.
- How you behave on the Website, (what pages you land on, how much time you spend, etc.).
- What device you use to access the Website/App and its details (model, operating system, etc.).
- Cookies and Web Beacon data.
- If you submit an inquiry through the Website, we will ask for your Data from third parties who have your explicit consent to lawfully share that data.
- Phone call logs to record your call activities with Support (i.e. call time, duration, phone number of relevant Lead).
- Emails that you send to us for seeking any information or support.

4. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION IN DIFFERENT WAYS
- We collect information directly from you: We collect information directly from you when you register/subscribe for an account. We also collect information if you post a comment on our websites or ask us a question through phone or email.
- We collect information from you passively: We use tracking tools like Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, browser cookies. The third-party social media website will give us certain information about you. This could include your name and email address.

To providing you with our services, Otion collaborates with third parties such as cloud hosting services, suppliers, and technology support located around the world. - Trip and location data: Pickup/drop-off points, routes, timestamps, driver and rider IDs, fare details and trip history are retained for operational, safety, billing and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Payment and billing records: Receipts, invoices and payment transaction logs are retained to comply with financial, tax and accounting obligations.
- Safety and incident records: Complaints, investigation files, recorded communications (if any), and other safety-related material are retained as needed to investigate incidents, prevent abuse, and defend legal claims.
- Account information and preferences: Profile data, saved locations and preferences are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after account closure to allow dispute handling and service recovery.
- Support, logs and backups: Customer-support histories, system logs and technical backups may persist for a limited time for troubleshooting, security and business continuity reasons. Aggregated or de-identified data used for analytics may be kept indefinitely.
If you ask us to delete your personal data, we will comply except where retention is necessary to: (a) satisfy legal or regulatory requirements, (b) investigate or defend against fraud or legal claims, (c) complete active transactions, or (d) protect safety. In those cases we will retain only the minimum data required and will notify you if we cannot fully delete certain records and why.

Any content you create or submit through the Otion App or Website—including reviews, ratings, comments, photos, or ride-related feedback—remains your intellectual property. By posting or sharing such content, you grant Otion a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and share it as necessary to provide, improve, and promote our ride-hailing Services. This license allows us to operate, maintain, and enhance our platform while respecting your ownership rights.
8. USE OF SUBMITTED CONTENT FOR COMMERCIAL OR MARKETING PURPOSES
By submitting content through the Otion Website—including reviews, ratings, photos, feedback, or other materials—you grant Otion a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt such content for purposes related to providing, improving, promoting, or marketing our Services. This includes commercial or promotional use, without any obligation to compensate you.
9. RIGHT TO MODIFY OR REMOVE USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
Otion reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, edit, remove, or refuse to display any user-submitted content if it:

- Breaches applicable laws or regulations, or
- Fails to meet community standards or safety requirements.
Such actions may be taken without prior notice to the user, and Otion is not responsible for any consequences arising from modification or removal of content.

Users may view, download, or share content from the Otion Website for personal, non-commercial purposes only, provided that:
- Proper attribution is given to Otion as the source,

- Content is not used for commercial gain without prior written consent from Otion.
Any other use of website or app content without explicit permission is strictly prohibited.
11. TRACKING BY OUR ADVERTISEMENT PARTNERS

- Kindly note, even if you choose to opt out of non-essential communications, we will continue to send you essential transactional communications regarding your purchases and account activities.

Beacons can be embedded in online content, emails, or videos, allowing us to determine when you view specific content, the time and date of viewing, and the IP address of your device. Our security systems are continuously monitored and updated to address emerging threats.
- Sensitive information, including your real-time location, is encrypted using industry-standard techniques like SSL, TLS, RSA, and AES.
- Your password is your first line of defense for your Otion account. We recommend setting a strong, unique password, keeping it confidential, and signing out after each session.
- While no digital system can be completely immune to risks, we actively minimize vulnerabilities by monitoring systems, upgrading security protocols, and following industry best practices.
